The Heritage Shade Guide: How to Choose the Right Dimension for Your Client
Beauvoir’s Heritage Collection is built for the kind of dimension clients notice as beautiful—not as “extensions.” Here’s how to read the three blends at the chair.
#1845
Quiet Smoke
The read: deep, polished brunette with close-set dimension. Quiet Smoke combines an off-black foundation with warm chestnut and dark-brown notes, so the result feels sophisticated rather than flat.
- Choose it for: clients living around levels 1–3 who want movement without obvious ribbons.
- Watch for: very cool natural hair; check the warm chestnut notes in the client’s real lighting.
- Placement idea: keep the deepest pieces near the perimeter and let the softer brown dimension move through the interior.
#1836
Frontier Silk
The read: luminous bronde warmth that stays refined. A medium chocolate base is threaded with golden-caramel ribbons to create sun-softened movement without tipping brassy.
- Choose it for: dimensional brunettes, warm brondes, and clients who want light without committing to blonde.
- Watch for: heavy ash in the natural hair; a small color adjustment may be needed for a seamless marriage.
- Placement idea: use the brighter ribbons to echo face-frame and surface highlights instead of distributing them evenly.
#3
Hill Country Brunette
The read: balanced, natural brunette richness. Inspired by the warm depth of the Texas Hill Country, this shade creates dimensional shine while staying grounded and highly wearable.
- Choose it for: medium brunettes who need natural movement without a visible highlight pattern.
- Watch for: extremely neutral or ash canvases; read the warmth beside the client before committing.
- Placement idea: use it as a dimensional anchor or pair it with a lighter bronde for a more articulated result.
Placement matters as much as the swatch
A blended shade is not a substitute for a placement plan. First identify where the client naturally carries depth, where light already lives, and which areas need visual density. Then place the Heritage blend so its internal dimension follows that map.
For the cleanest consultation, compare a color tab at the root, mids, and ends in natural light. If the match changes through the hair, combine shades or reserve the dimensional blend for the areas where it reads most naturally.
